Ink cartridge recycling to be tackled in IERC congresses.
A preliminary program for the International Electronics Recycling Congress (IERC) 2013 has been announced, including a number of discussions on WEEE, the dichotomy between free trade and fair trade and ink cartridge recycling.
The IERC is set to take place on 16–18 January 2013 in Salzburg, Austria and states over “500 experts from industry, authorities and academia” will be present to discuss the “newest information and challenges of the WEEE recycling business”.
Sessions planned include a round table discussion on “free trade vs. fair trade”, take-back schemes of global OEMs and how to recycle e-waste containing hazardous elements.
A cocktail reception and networking dinner are also planned.
Congress Assistant Susann Schmid commented: “Ink cartridge recycling [will be] a topic in our IERC congresses and we have customers trading in this business.”
A final program will be available in September.
