Cartridge retailer emphasises environmental benefits of cartridge refilling, as well as recycling.
An article on TheAlternativePress.com highlights the benefits of Cartridge World stores in which cartridges are sold, refilled and sent for recycling, citing Cartridge World New Providence in the US as an example.
With customers having the option of trading-in empty cartridges to be refilled in store or purchasing cartridges that have already been refilled or recycled, the article praises the Cartridge World store in New Providence for the environmental benefits it brings, as well as the cost savings made by purchasing its products, with store owner Norm Sobin claiming that it is “30 to 40 percent cheaper” to use recycled cartridges than buying new ones.
Speaking of the environmental benefits the store brings, Sobin commented: “We make an effort to keep cartridges out of landfills and reuse them,” and added that recycling one cartridge saves one gallon of oil that would be used to manufacture a new cartridge.
As well as recycling and refilling cartridges, Cartridge World’s New Providence store also recycles electronic products that cannot be disposed of easily, partnering with Principia to offer a free service, in addition to running a recycling programs with local schools and churches, donating money to the institutions for every cartridge that is recycled.
