OEM appoints Ramón F. Baez as Senior Vice-President and Global Chief Information Officer, as of 20 August.
Industry Analysts reports on HP’s latest appointment, which will see Baez being made responsible for the company’s global information technology strategy, along with all of its internal IT assets “including architecture, applications, data management, technology, telecommunications networks and support operations”.
Prior to being appointed in his new role, Baez was Vice-President of Information Technology Services and Chief Information Officer at personal care corporation Kimberly-Clark Corp., where he was responsible for leading the company’s enterprise-wide information systems initiatives.
Baez will be reporting to John Hinshaw, Executive Vice-President, Global Technology and Business Processes, HP, who commented: “Ramón brings a vast amount of experience and leadership to HP. As a skilled veteran who will truly transform IT for HP by helping to remove complexities and drive efficiencies, his number one focus will be to enable a better experience for our customers, partners and employees.”
