Fuji Xerox has announced that it will begin construction of a new manufacturing site in Hai Phong, due to begin in December 2012 to begin operations in November 2013.
The OEM has invested ¥9 billion ($113 million/€92 million) into the project, with the plant mainly manufacture digital colour multifunction devices and LED printers, with a manufacturing capacity of two million units annually. The site will also manufacturing components including printed wiring boards and drum cartridge components.
The site will be staffed by 700 employees from the start of operations, and will expand the number of main manufacturing and recycling sites in East Asia to 10.
