Non-profit OEM association states 14th conference on combating illegal activities in the imaging industry.
The Imaging Supplies Coalition has celebrated the conclusion of a successful 14th conference focused on the prevention of counterfeiting and fraud in the imaging industry, stated as attended by approximately 75 brand protection professionals.
The conference included discussions and presentations from Therese Randazzo, Director IPR Policy and Programs, US Customers and Border Protection Agency , who spoke on utilising the CBP efficiently; Alf Anderson, General Council, Epson; and analysis from Photizo and Actionable Intelligence.
The Imaging Supplies Coalition states that “the conference presentations and discussions made clear that protecting intellectual property rights is a critical issue for everyone involved in the imaging supplies industry […] supplies counterfeiting in the world wide imaging supplies market is estimated at $3.5 billion (€2.79 billion) annually”.
The non-profit coalition comprises of Brother International, Canon USA, Epson America, Lexmark International, Oki Data Corporation, Samsung America, Toshiba America and Xerox.
