Gloucestershire Police has released an efit of a man suspected of stealing two printer cartridges from a store in Stroud.
An efit featuring a middle-aged man believed to have stolen two printer cartridges from a store in Stroud has been distributed by Gloucestershire Police as of 3 September 2012.
Described as “white and in his forties”, the man is said to have entered stationers James & Owen at approximately 14:45 on 29 August, selecting two printer cartridges from the shelf and run out of the shop without paying for the items. He was wearing a green or khaki thigh-length jacket and dark trousers.
Information regarding the crime can be given anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or Gloucestershire Police and quoting incident number 236 of August 29.
Printer cartridge theft remains popular among miscreants, although admittedly occasionally to grander expense: in July 2012, three men were accused of stealing in excess of $100,000 (€79,438) in toner cartridges from Staples stores across the US; and in September 2011, four men were held following an ink cartridge theft and scam that earned them $1 million (€794,117).
