The supplier has released new drums, toner, smartchips and mag-cleaning solutions for Xerox and Muratec laser printers and cartridges.
The newest drums from the company are designed for use in the Xerox DC 240, and can be purchased individually or in larger quantities, with drums also available for HP, Xerox Phaser, Brother and Okidata machines. The black and colour OPCs available are a foot long, and weigh half a pound.
Marketing Director Tim Farrell stated of the drums: “The Xerox DC 240 OEM drum unit retails at around $200 and so our drum presents a good opportunity for rechargers. We have had the Xerox DC 240 toner and chips so the drums should be a nice addition. The color and black drums are actually different; the black has a larger diameter.”
The company also launched bulk toner for the DC 240, which is available in 10 kilogram bags in black, cyan, yellow and magenta, with smartchips also available. Toner was also released for use in the Muratec MFX 1430, with bottles and 10 kilogram bags available, and a drum and wiper blade are currently in production at Faroudja.
The final toner released this month for the Xerox WorkCentre 7425, available in black, cyan, yellow and magenta bottles that can be bought individually or in multiple quantities. The black bottles come in 475 gram sizes, and the colours in 275 grams. Chips and drums are also available.
Farrell noted of the Muratec toner: “We keep getting inquiries about these various Muratec printers, and have started to study them. OEM Muratec toners are expensive, so we believe there is a market. Our Muratec 1430 toner works really well and we already have repeat business.”
Faroudja’s President Phil Faroudja noted of the Xerox toners: “We’ve seen a lot of worldwide demand for the Xerox 7425, so we believe this will be popular. These toners have been thoroughly tested, and we think our customers will love the quality.
“We definitely carry Xerox DC 240 in bottles, but 10 kilogram bags offer big savings. In this difficult economic environment, people are looking to cut costs, and getting bulk toner is a good way.
A more universal product was launched in the mag-cleaning solution, which is offered in 18 ounce cans. Working on any mag roller, one can can be used for 300 rollers, and other such products previously released are OPC drum cream, wiper blade cream and PCR coating and cleaning cream.
On the mag-cleaning solution, Farrell stated: “This is really good to use if you want to extend the life of your mag. You only want to use it on a used mag, and applying it does a solid job of cleaning and preserving the roller.
“Utilizing the mag-cleaning solution, you don’t need to buy a new mage, and we sell a lot, particularly to customers in Asia. In fact, some companies have a whole assembly line situation set up using the solution.”
The company’s final product release was smartchips for use in Xerox’s Workcentre 7535 printers, with chips for each of the four colours available in any quantity. The chips are also compatible for use in the Xerox Workcentre 7525, 7530 and 7545 printers.
Farrell added of the chips: “Many of our customers have been inquiring about these chips, as none existed anywhere. Again, we are first-to-market, and Faroudja has become an industry leader in chip development.
In the past we were able to produce chips such as the Samsung CLP 610 very soon after the cartridges came out, and this is the case with the Xerox 7535. We have become very good with our chip production, so if there’s an unusual one you are looking for, we can develop it.”
