Brother launches new Premium Partner Programme in UAE

Oct 8, 2012

The OEM launched the programme in Dubai with the aim of giving “recognition” and “strong support” to partners in the region.

The OEM’s UAE subsidiary, Brother International (Gulf) FZE, hosted the programme’s launch at the Address Hotel in downtown Dubai earlier this month, with the company’s Managing Director, Soichi Murakami, giving a presentation on the programme as well as the OEM’s move to “consolidate its market presence” in the region, stated AMEInfo.

The programme, the news outlet reported, is drawn on a list of five objectives, including ensuring the “presence and supply of genuine Brother products”; discouraging partners in the channel from “patronizing counterfeit products and grey market”; working closely with partners to “achieve mutually agreed business targets”; rewarding partners with “incentives, rebates and marketing support”; and “continuing to build premium partnerships in the UAE”.

The programme officially began on 1 October and will end on 31 March 2013, after which Brother will review partner performance, and a special awards dinner will take place in April 2013 to “recognize partners with excellent performances”.

Premium Partners of Brother’s in the UAE include Gold partners Jumbo Electronics Retail Division, Sharaf DG, Jazeerat Al Kanz Trading, Satrah Computer Trading and Al Safsaf General Trading, as well as Silver partners Yash Electronics Trading and Humaid B Computer Trading, and Blue partners including Proton Electronics Trading, Hero Computer, Buraida Computers, Grace Computers, Trade Aid Computers, Carapelli Computers and Max Electronics.

Murakami continued: “We are very pleased to announce the start of our new ‘Premium Partner Program,’ an initiative that not only sets out to encourage our partners to improve on their sales performances but will also help us in our move to strengthen our ties with them.

“This new program gives us the opportunity to work closely with premium partners and move towards achieving set targets. At the same time, [it will] help them become more aware of the campaign against piracy.”
