The OEM’s three new devices are in the MX range of multifunction document systems.
The models have been released in the USA through Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA), and include the MX-M904, MX-M1054 and MX-M1204 monochrome MFPs. The devices are available in three engine speeds of 90ppm, 105ppm and 120ppm, with advanced features including air-feed paper-handling, a 25.2 cm (10.1 inch) high-resolution LCD screen, and a “flexible modular design” for different printing configurations.
The devices can also be used for professional folding and booklet making, with the LCD screen allowing “scan preview, real time editing and customisation functions”. The company even claims that the air-feed paper handling option provides “excellent reliability and is virtually maintenance free”, with all three models featuring a paper capacity of 13,500 sheets.
The printers are based on Sharp’s OSA development platform, allowing for “easy and secure” network integration and wireless interconnectivity. They also feature a job management function enabling users to “reprint, edit and combine jobs” from the machine itself.
Doug Albregts, President of SIICA, stated: “The new models illustrate Sharp’s on-going commitment to bringing professional-level printing capabilities in-house. The rich features of this new series push the boundaries of innovation and help bring efficiency to our customers who rely on Sharp in this space.”
George Grafanakis, Senior Manager of Product Planning and Marketing at SIICA, added: “These new models have been designed on Sharp’s award-winning Hercules platform, which offers the performance and reliability our customers expect. Sharp’s new airfeed paper handling system combined with versatile finishing options makes these new workhorses suitable for all types of businesses, large or small.”
The three ENERGY STAR-qualified machines are available through Sharp dealers as well as from Sharp itself.
