New toner and component sets from Uninet

Nov 14, 2012

The components and toner manufacturer has released new ranges of its Absolute Color and Absolute Black sets.

The sets of toner and components in the Absolute Color range are designed for use in Konica Minolta’s Magicolor 4750, 4790 and 4795 laser printers. The printer has a speed of 31ppm with a resolution of 4,800 x 600 dpi, and “easily refillable toner cartridges”, which are rated at 6,000 pages for all four colours.

The drum imaging units also contain a smartchip and are rated for 30,000 pages, with Uninet stating the cartridges are “easy to remanufacture” as “toner is easily refilled via the fill plug on the cartridge”.

The company also launched two new sets of Absolute Black toner and components, with the first for the Brother HL-5140, 5150 and 5170 printers, which use the TN570, 540, 3030 and 3060 toner cartridges. The devices feature a separate toner and drum cartridge similar to other monochrome devices in the company’s range, with the toner cartridges available in 3,500 and 6,700 page versions, and the drum cartridge at 20,000 pages.

Uninet added that the cartridges are once again “easy to remanufacture”, and “offers a complete remanufacturing solution for these cartridges”.

The second Absolute Black toner and components set from Uninet this month is for use in Xerox’s Phaser 3320 and Workcentre 3315 and 3325 monochrome laser printers. The devices are based on the same print engine, with print speeds of up to 37ppm, and toner cartridges are available in 5,000 and 11,000 pages versions in an all-in-one design.

The company noted that the cartridges are “identical for both printer and multifunction versions” but the chips are different, whilst the low and high yield cartridges are also identical bar the chips, so remanufacturers can “convert the low yield cartridges into high yield cartridges, adding additional value for the customer”. Uninet again added that it offers a “complete remanufacturing solution”.
