Cartridge World franchisee provides tips on running a successful franchise.
Cartridge World Franchisee of the Year Claude Esposito, who operates the Ellesmere Port store, has provided advice on how to manage a successful franchise amid economic strife as the recession continues.
Esposito, who came out of retirement in 2009, invested in Cartridge World shortly afterwards citing “the continual need for reliable printing solutions” among consumers.
Following opening his first store in Chester, he has since opened an additional store in Ellesmere Port as well as six concessions in local computer shops and doubled staff across his various franchises.
Primary to Esposito’s advice is to “know your customer”, cited as “the most important area of focus […] it is vital to know what the customer wants as this gives the franchise a focus on priorities and customer expectations”. As such, Esposito is stated to have research both current and lapsed customers in order to glean an overarching business strategy.
Attention to detail is also recommended, across all aspects from appearance to product knowledge, “ensur[ing] the customers trust the staff and the product, meaning they are more likely to return”.
Finally, adequate investment in growth is “fundamental” to the success of a franchise, noted for strengthening relationships, as well as retaining and growing opportunities with current clients.
