Aftermarket supplies franchise claims businesses can cut printing costs by 25 percent with “a few simple changes”.
In the approach to the new year, Cartridge World has released a set of simple rules to help keep business printing costs down and claims organisations can save as much as 25 percent from their printing budget.
Tom McLaughlin, Marketing Director, Cartridge World North America, commented: “Considering there are more than 21,000 US and Canadian firms with 500-plus employees, that’s a huge volume of printing. There are three ways businesses can immediately reduce their printing costs: reduce the number of pages printed, reduce printer ink and toner expenses [and] use the right printer.”
Cartridge World recommends two-sided printing on all draft documents, eliminating the need to waste paper, and to reduce margin size on pages which may allow for as much as 10 percent more text to be printed on each sheet.
Regarding correct printer selection, businesses are encouraged to research the capabilities of printers as opposed to selecting the cheapest available as it may become more expensive to operate in the long run. Printer selection should also be determined by printer usage: downsizing or even upgrading may prove to be fiscally beneficial.
Finally, The Recycler would like to endorse Cartridge World’s suggestion of using remanufactured cartridges.
McLaughlin continued: “Office managers and executives don’t always realise how much they can save by changing printers and their ink and toner provider. If you’re using the wrong printer, it pays to switch ASAP. Plus, if you buy remanufactured printer cartridges, you can easily save another 25 percent or more.”
