Dec 17, 2012

The OEM has released two new mid-range colour MFPs.

The two new devices, the bizhub C454 and the bizhub C554, are “designed for intensive workgroup use” and “offer an impressive array of high-productivity features to increase document imaging efficiency”. The two machines feature a 22.7 centimetre colour touchscreen panel, as well as the “latest green technology” for energy saving.

The green technology included in the devices includes scanning without engine warmup, a dynamic eco-timer to analyse working conditions, and the OEM’s new Simitri HD polymerised toner, which features “smaller, more uniform toner particles” that allow “fusing at lower temperatures” as well as producing high quality images.

The two devices’ scanning capabilities are also a main feature, with colour scanning and a dualscan automatic document feeder allowing for high quality colour scans of “both sides of a document in a single operation”, with the machines delivering 160 scanned images a minute in full colour.

James Goody, Director of Direct Sales for Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK), stated: “These advanced colour systems are designed to be the foundation for document workflow in demanding office environments such as large workgroups. Employing the latest technical innovations they offer low power consumption, green credentials, data security, advanced scanning capabilities, large paper capacity and wide range of finishing options.

“With the launch of the bizhub C454 and bizhub C554 Konica Minolta has completed the replacement of its colour systems range with the next-generation of ground-breaking bizhub printing devices.”
