OEM named as one of the “Most Environmentally Progressive Industry Vendors” at Canadian Printing Awards.
4Traders reports that Eastman Kodak was one of a number of suppliers to receive a “Most Environmentally Progressive Industry Vendors” award at the annual Canadian Printing Awards in Toronto, Canada, which marks achievements in the print industry in the country.
The award was in recognition of suppliers who focused on addressing environmental issues in their business strategies and initiatives, with Kodak receiving a silver award “for its combination of sustained environmental performance and continuous focus on innovative solutions that contribute towards its customers’ pursuit of sustainability”.
Amongst Kodak’s solutions that were praised at the presentation was its focus on process-free plate technology, which helps the company to achieve a more streamlined platemaking process while reducing costs, energy consumption and waste.
Todd Bigger, Product Management Director-Graphics, Kodak said: “Today’s printers have signalled that doing what’s right for their business includes reducing their environmental footprint. Many print providers are now making the switch to process free solutions to improve their bottom line and to enhance their environmental stewardship within the industry.
“Kodak is proud to be among those recognized within the graphic communications industry for the ‘Most Environmentally Progressive Industry Vendor’ award. This honor only reaffirms our continued commitment to developing robust, industry-proven solutions for our customers in the print market.”
