The remanufacturer has become the only non-Italian company to receive the award.
Embatex added that it is “proud” to have received the award, which, as well as focusing on sustainable behaviour, accounts for health and social aspects of a company’s actions, including corporate social responsibility. The company’s Sales Manager in Italy, Giovanni Ravelli, received the award from the government in mid-December 2012.
The company noted that the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance awarded it for its work in “innovative” ways and methods of remaining within “guidelines of environmental sustainability” making particular reference to the company’s work with the “procurement cycle, resource conservation, energy efficiency and waste cycle”.
The remanufacturer recently joined forces with a number of other European industry companies to form ARTI-Italia, an Italian remanufacturers’ association.
