Samsung CLX-8640NDOEM’s new line of A4 colour MFPs built with time-saving dual-scan technology.

Finchannel.com reports that Samsung has released two new models of A4 colour MFPs for small, medium and large-sized offices, with both models able to scan both sides of a document simultaneously for faster output.

The dual-scan technology featured in the new Samsung CLX-8640ND and CLX-8650ND printers means that each task is completed “up to 1.5 times quicker”, with the printers being able to handle large print and copy jobs easily and efficiently. They also feature Samsung’s anti-jam technology, which involves the use of a roller specifically engineered to minimise misfeeds and paper jams, allowing users to continue to print their documents without needing to stop to fix paper jams.

In terms of print speed, the CLX-8650ND can produce up to 51 pages per minute, while the CLX-8640ND is able to achieve up to 40 pages per minute, with both models using high-yield polymerised toner which use 35 percent less electricity than other toners during manufacturing, reducing the environmental impact. In addition, the printers both come with Samsung’s S.T.A.R. Program, which “recycles empty cartridges into their major usable component materials and then reuses for other products”.

Commenting on the new printer models, Tod Pike, Senior Vice President of Samsung Enterprise Business Division, said: “Our new A4 product line with dual-scan technology delivers an additional level of efficiency that our customers have come to expect from Samsung MFPs. With this launch, we are well positioned to deliver innovative technology to our dealers while helping customers spend less time completing simple tasks. We are excited to bring our new product line to market and will continue to evolve our products to further the A4 category.”
