As tax season increases printing costs for businesses, the cartridge retailer lists cost saving ideas for those affected.
In an article on Marketwire, Cartridge World urges businesses to assess printing costs during the tax season, which can often result in businesses spending more on printing due to an increase in paperwork.
The company has listed five ways in which businesses can reduce their printing costs simply, with Tom McLaughlin, Marketing Director for Cartridge World North America, commenting: “Businesses are facing a huge increase in printing during this time of the year, so it’s a great time to examine your home and office printing costs. Companies can easily reduce their office printing cost by up to 30 percent by simply choosing the right printers, printing modes and printer cartridges.”
Firstly, for documents that will only be used internally, Cartridge World suggests that using “draft print” mode is a good idea as, although it is lower quality, it uses less ink than printing normally. Ensuring that the right type of printer is used to match the print job, for example high volume tax preparation document printing, mono laser printers and high-yield toner cartridges could “double your printing output at almost half the price”.
Cartridge World also encourages the purchase of remanufactured cartridges to save “up to 30 percent” in printing costs; and notes that any formatting issues can be resolved before printing by using “print preview”, saving paper and ink.
Finally, Cartridge World recommends the use of duplex printers, allowing two sheets of paper to be printed simultaneously, “cut[ting] your print job in half”.
