Three new colour MFPs released by OEM with enhanced cloud capability.
ThomasNet.com reports that Sharps latest colour MFPs, the MX-2640N, MX-3140N, and MX-3640N offer print speeds of 26, 31 and 36 pages per minute and include touchscreen displays, Wi-Fi networking and 500 + 2,000 sheet tandem paper drawer, enabling a total capacity of 6,600 sheets.
The printers are also said to offer “powerful document workflow capabilities” and a built-in web browser for “walk-up access” to the internet. They also enable mobile printing through the Sharpdesk Mobile app, meaning that guests do not have to connect to a company’s corporate network to print and scan, with the MFPs’ “Point-to-Point” mode, which is isolated from the wired LAN, directly connecting to mobile devices.
A choice of two high-performance finishers are also offered by the devices to provide a “professional look and feel”, including a compact inner finisher or a floor-standing saddle-stitch finisher.
Commenting on the new products, Mike Marusic, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Business Solutions Group, Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America, said: “These new workgroup models are designed around today’s contemporary office environments offering powerful multitasking features, off-premises cloud support, mobile device access and more. Tablet-style menu navigation combined with a built-in retractable keyboard and Internet browsing ability enables these MFPs to be both high functioning and a strong value. The MX-2640N, MX-3140N and MX-3640N document systems are ideal for demanding workgroup environments where high productivity is required.”
