Zenji MiuraNew appointments made for Representative Director, President and CEO roles.

Ricoh Company Ltd. has announced personnel changes following approval from its Board of Directors, which the company hopes will further bolster the business and reinforce the earnings structure.

Following nearly six years in the role of President of Ricoh, Shiro Kondo will remain as a Representative Director of the company but will also take on the role as Chairman of the Board, replacing Masamitsu Sakurai and passing his role as President to Zenji Miura.

Miura was formerly Deputy President and Chief Financial Officer of Ricoh, but will now take on roles as President and Chief Executive Officer of the company, as well as continuing his Representative Director role. He has worked for Ricoh since 1976, covering a number of positions including President of Ricoh France S.A., General Manager of Finance and Accounting Division, Managing Director, Corporate Executive Vice President and General Manager of Corporate Planning Division.

The personnel changes will take effect as of 1 April.

Ricoh also highlighted how it has grown during Kondo’s Presidency, expanding its business domain from office equipment to production printing, MDS and IT Services whilst globalising through strategic acquisitions. In addition, it noted how the company was adversely affected by 2008’s global financial crisis, the 2011 Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan and floods in Thailand during 2011.
