MICRinkINC.com’s MICR cartridges work with mobile printer to provide easy mobile printing of cheques.
MICRinkINC.com has announced that it has used MICR ink formula in its inkjet cartridges containing customised dispersions developed by nanotechnology scientist. Used primarily for the banking industry, Magnetic Image Character Recognition (MICR) allows scanners to read confidential information printed on documents, such as bank account numbers, and usually utilises toner as opposed to inkjet.
The MICR inkjet cartridges have been designed for use in the HP Officejet 100 Mobile Printer, which is battery operated and has wireless Bluetooth connectivity, enabling easy mobile printing of cheques and other documents. The company states that the cartridges are particularly popular with professionals such as insurance adjustors “as it enables them to settle claims faster by cutting a cheque ‘on the spot’ in exchange for a signed release from the claimant”.
The MICR Inkjet Formulas began to be developed in 2010 and continuous lab and pilot testing means that the company’s product line continues to be improved, with products on offer now including the HP #94 MICR Premium Compatible Inket Cartridge and the HP #95 Tri-Color Premium Compatible Inkjet Cartridge for use in HP Officejet 100, 150, 460 and 470 Mobile Printers. The company also provides formulas for high speed inkjet applications for commercial and transactional printers.
