The OEM has revealed the sales tally, which has been achieved in less than five years.a3_054423

The company introduced what it says was the “world’s first” A3 inkjet AIO in 2008, and since then one million of the machines have been purchased across Europe. It added that in 2012 it sold over 316,000 units, which was “more than five times our nearest competitor”.

The OEM adds that “seven of the top ten selling” A3 inkjets were Brother models, which in turn helped it to achieve a 79 percent share “of the overall A3 inkjet market”. It stated in turn that it believes its success in the sector “lies in the breadth of our product range”, and with the “nine models currently available”.

The nine models – four times as many as its “nearest competitor” – allow Brother “to fulfil a wide range of business needs” with the A3 printer range. Among the A3 devices available in Europe from the OEM are the MFC-J4510DW and MFC-J5910DW.
