HP’s Paul Jeran will deliver the keynote speech at the conference about the ISO and IECJTC1 standards and their effect on the supplies industry.

Jeran currently convenes the ISO/IECJTC1 SC28/WG2 working group and is a Master Architect at HP LaserJet Supplies, with 20 years of experience at HP in the development of “new printing and cartridge technologies” as well as “print quality assessment and printer reliability”.

Jeran’s talk, entitled “ISO/IEC JTC1 SC28 Standards for the Supply industry”, will be the keynote discussion for the two day conference, which is taking place on 20 and 21 June 2013 at Fleming’s Hotel Vienna Westbahnhof in Vienna, Austria.

The ISO/IECJTC1 SC28 committee is an “international office equipment standards committee”, and as well as being the chair of the US Technical Advisory Group (TAG) to SC28, Jeran is the convener the WG – 2 Consumable Yield within the SC28.

Jeran’s technical expertise in research and development at HP’s LaserJet Supplies business has meant he has been the primary inventor on over 15 patents in printing and document technology, and he also presented several papers on standards, image quality and print technology.

He also has experience in editing and co-editing ink and laser cartridge performance standards, receiving his Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

The two day event will be focused on remanufacturing in Europe today and the forthcoming ISO remanufacturing standard, and will feature cocktails and a gala dinner on the evening of 20 June.

Attending the conference will allow delegates to network with other industry individuals from across Europe, discuss the latest issues and industry trends affecting business, and learn more about the implications of future developments in the industry.
