Riyadh, Saudi ArabiaOEM’s first Saudi office described as “strategically significant” as it helps to expand business growth in Middle East.

Albawaba reports that Epson has officially opened its first office in Saudi Arabia as the OEM targets the Middle Eastern region’s corporate and consumer market, with the opening of the Riyadh office being overseen by Hiromi Taba, President of Epson Europe B.V.; Jean-Marie Lacroix, Vice President of Sales, Emerging Territories (CISMEA), Epson Europe B.V.; and Khalil El-Dalu, General Manager of Epson Middle East. Representatives from the media and Epson’s channel partners were also in attendance.

The OEM also announced that it would be appointing more channel partners based in Saudi Arabia; and that its new office will be equipped with its latest products in order to facilitate quick demonstrations and training, with the company hoping that it will provide strong sales and marketing support to both its customers and the channel.

Speaking of the new office, Taba said: “The Saudi Arabian market is vital to Epson’s ambitious expansion goals in the Middle East, and being the biggest market in the region it was imperative that we have a strong presence in the Kingdom. Saudi Arabia’s technology sector in particular has been witnessing steady growth in recent years and with the opening of our office in the country we aim to take our commitment to deliver top quality technology solutions that specifically address customer requirements, to a whole new level.

“Our new office in Riyadh enables Epson to get closer to our customers and offer them an excellent standard of pre and post sale services, which are critical aspects of today’s dynamic market environment. Our plan for the Saudi market revolves around a balanced focus on both the corporate and consumer segment, although the educational sector will receive particular attention given the government’s major emphasis on this sector in recent years.

“Moreover, the opening of our Saudi office will also be strategically significant as we constantly strive to introduce latest technologies and as we pursue our target of sustaining our market leading positions in key product categories such as projectors, dot matrix printers and system devices.”
