Toner cartridge remanufacturer and cheque printing supplies manufacturer announces cartridge for use in HP LaserJet M700 series.
The CF214A magnetic ink character recognition (MICR) toner cartridge released by Advantage Laser can be used in printers for laser cheque printing, including the HP LaserJet M712, M712n, M712dn and M712hx; and is described as a genuine HP cartridge that has been “retrofitted” with MICR toner.
The cartridge offers a page yield of 12,000 pages at five percent coverage, and costs $350 (€265) with free ground shipping in the US. The company also states that the cartridge is a stock item and that it anticipates light demand for the product “as wide-format printers are rarely used for cheque printing”.
The HP LaserJet M700 series of printers are designed as enterprise class printers, with speeds of 40 pages per minute and a monthly duty cycle of 100,000 pages. They are also able to handle paper sizes up to 11 x 17/tabloid size.
