Aftermarket printer manufacturer donates 500,000 RMB ($81,250/€61,700) worth of printers and toner cartridges to areas affected by Chinese earthquake.
Pantum has announced that it has donated a large number of printers and toner cartridges to the south-western region of China, which was struck by a magnitude 6.6 earthquake on 20 April.
The earthquake in the Sichuan region of China resulted in the death of almost 200 people, with thousands wounded and extensive damage to property. Recognising that the earthquake has also meant that a huge of amount of equipment such as printers has been destroyed, Pantum has donated the printers to help with the management of the disaster’s aftermath.
Yang Yun Guo, Domestic Marketing Director of Pantum, China, said: “As a socially responsible organization, it was our responsibility to offer assistance to the best of our abilities. We have contacted the relevant government agencies and organizations to send the printers to the earthquake-stricken area.”
Brother and Canon also pledged their support to the earthquake relief efforts, with both OEMs donating money to charities helping those affected by the disaster.
