The ink manufacturer has launched the products for use with Mimaki wide-format machines.
The company noted that the release of the inkjet inks was a “strategic approach to produce innovative new products that are friendly to both the planet and printers”, with the inkjet ink designed to be used with Mimaki’s JV33 and JV34 wide-format printers.
The inks have been formulated “so they are colour and chemically compatible” with Mimaki’s SS21 inks, and also offer “a wide range of compatibility with vinyl banner media” as well as being available in CMYK. The company added that the inks do not require flushing or re-profiling, so printers “will experience less waste” when changing the cartridges.
The cartridges come in 440 millilitre or one litre bottles (which can be refilled with the EasyFill Bulk system), as well as a two litre bag-in-box refilling system called Eco Bulk. The fast-drying inks have “excellent adhesion” and are supported by INX’s warranty, and the cartridges form part of its recycling programme, which accepts any used or empty wide-format cartridges.
Ken Kisner, INX Digital’s Vice President of Business Development and CTO for Digital Division Ink Technologies, stated: “We recently completed beta testing at a number of sites in North America and these inks passed with flying colours. The results and the comments we received were very impressive.
“For a very long time, INX has demonstrated a commitment to corporate responsibility in developing new products that are less harsh on the environment. Printers using the MSS eco-solvent inkjet inks will benefit from less waste with cartridge-by-cartridge changeover or by taking advantage of our other bulk use ink systems. In addition to being a cost-effective solution that does not spare quality, these are tremendous advantages that sign graphics and other specialty printers should consider.”
