Color Recovery has announced that it is helping to reduce the carbon footprint for remanufacturers of toner cartridges in Europe with the introduction of its Certified Programme to ensure “100 percent” quality control during the remanufacturing process.

The company, which is based in Maastricht, The Netherlands, is offering the programme to cartridge remanufacturers and recyclers for a “reasonable” fee, and states that it can be used in marketing strategies when selling remanufactured toner cartridges. Color Recovery adds that the programme will also “offer a legitimate and sustainable contribution towards reducing the carbon footprint” which it says can be used as a “favourable step” towards environmental, local and federal regulations in Europe.

Furthermore, Color Recovery states that for each batch of waste toner it processes, the company that provided the toner will receive a certified Waste to Energy Certificate.
