OEM encourages in-house printing with new MFC-9000 series of desktop all-in-one printers.
Small Business Trends reports on the release of Brother USA’s new series of printers aimed at the small business market and designed to offer a high quality, inexpensive printing option, with Brother claiming that businesses could save up to 60 percent on costs otherwise spent on using local copy centres.
The all-in-one printers are compact in size at approximately two square feet, and can print from 19 to 23 colour pages per minute depending on the model, at a resolution of 600 x 2400 dpi. They can also hold up to 250 sheets of paper at a time and boast a 3.7 inch colour touchscreen display through which users are able to access social media and file-sharing accounts, enabling them to print directly from sites such as Facebook and Dropbox. Wireless and mobile printing are also features.
The toner used in the MFC-9000 range is said to be “high capacity”, with Brother claiming that it will reduce the cost per colour copy by 7.5 percent; making the devices ideal for small businesses that print a lot of booklets, catalogues or other marketing materials. They are also energy efficient, using two watts of power when not in use and featuring an automatic power-off option.
In terms of pricing, the printers are available to purchase for between $399 (€307) and $450 (€347).
