New software app reduces amount of waste paper and cuts paper costs by up to 24 percent.
Cartridge World has announced the launch of its new software app, PrintEco, which is designed to help businesses and consumers save money and improve the environment through reducing the amount of waste paper generated in printing; helping to save up to 24 percent in paper costs.
The cartridge franchise developed the app following the Environment Protection Agency’s statement that the typical office employee generates up to 1.5 pounds of wasted paper per day, and that by reducing this waste, an office of 30 people could save up to seven trees each year.
The free software, which can be downloaded via the Cartridge World website, optimises print documents by reading their size and offering formatting options to reduce the page count, saving hundreds of wasted pages annually.
