OEM introduces three new devices covering wide range of printing demands and co-ordinating with cloud service.
Canon has announced the launch of three new entry-level large-format inkjet printers able to cater for a number of printing demands, including computer aided design (CAD) and geographic information systems (GIS) applications, as well as poster production, reports The Asahi Shimbun.
The imagePROGRAF iPF610 plus and iPF605L plus printers can print on media up to A1 in size and will be available in July, while the iPF510 plus is able to produce printouts up to A2 in size and will be launched in August; with prices for the devices ranging from $1,960 (€1,525) to $2,752 (€2,142).
Using imagePROGRAF Direct Print & Share (DPS) software, the printers support a range of file formats such as PDF, JPEG and TIFF; with the software also allowing users to order print jobs combining different file formats and to adjust print settings from one screen. Files can be uploaded and downloaded from a cloud-based service in real-time, including with construction and design companies in remote locations or across multiple locations.
