Annual event held in Harrogate, UK, sees launch of growth strategy for business.
The conference was held on Saturday 22 June and was attended by over 100 Cartridge World franchisees, with presentations given throughout the day by several keynote speakers including John Richardson, outgoing Chairman of Cartridge World; and Executive Chairman and group CEO, Rod Young.
In addition to the launching of Cartridge World’s strategy for growth of the business until 2015, the event also saw the company announce a key logistics and distribution partnership with Badger Office Supplies as of July 2013; with details of its relationship with international franchise sales company, Franchise Dynamics, also outlined.
Chief Executive of Badger Office Supplies, Dennis Haines and President and Chief Development Officer at Franchise Dynamics, Robert Stidham, both gave presentations at the event; while a series of seminars ran throughout the conference, including key sessions designed to help franchisees maximise their sales and marketing activities.
There was also an exhibition alongside the event where franchisees were able to discuss requirements of their businesses direct with suppliers, with Jero Productions, MSE, PEC Shopfitter, Brother, Greentrees International and DMS Systems among the exhibitors.
The event concluded with an Agatha Christie-themed Gala Dinner and an award ceremony which saw a number of franchisees recognised for their successes over the past year. Winners included Alex and Hugh Pattinson-Appleton of Cartridge World Hereford, Hereford City Centre and Leominster, who were named Franchisee of the Year 2013; and Claude Esposito of Cartridge World Chester and Ellesmere Port, who received the Business to Business Champion 2013 award.
Special recognition was also given to Sarah Dyckhoff from Cartridge World Aylesbury; Daniel Fensom from Croydon, Croydon Central and Crawley; Darren Turner of Accrington, Blackburn and Rawtenstall; Terry Jeffery from Cheltenham and Gloucester; and Graham Burgess and Tracy Morris from Bognor Regis, Goring and Littlehampton.
The joint-winners of the Cartridge World Employee of the Year 2013 award were Gavin Askew, Distribution and Supplies Manager; and Jane Parsons, Business Development Manager.
