Eco Cartridge Store in Kirkland, Washington remanufactures and refills cartridges.

Kirkland Reporter reports that after eight years in charge, former owner Vic Swan sold the business to Jill Haverkamp earlier this month. The business was founded in 2005, when, according to the news outlet, “the concept of refilled and remanufactured ink cartridges for consumers was just starting to go mainstream”.

Swan had considered franchising when entering the business, but “preferred to start his own store to offer more personalised service”, with the business growing over the past eight years to offer consumers and businesses remanufactured and refilled cartridges.

Swan stated: “It’s been fun building the business from scratch and providing a service to the community, but it’s time to retire. I’m pleased that the store will be in good hands with Jill, who will also be running the store with her husband, Steve.”

Haverkamp added: “I’m really pleased to take over Eco Cartridge Store from Vic. The store is well respected in the community for its quality products and customer service. We were attracted in becoming the new owners of Eco Cartridge because we wanted to do our part in helping the planet while saving people money.”
