Five monochrome and eight colour printers released to target home and small office users.
Think digit reports that Konica Minolta is looking to build on its presence in the Indian market with the launch of new monochrome and colour series of A4 printers. The OEM has also reportedly appointed three new partners in the Haryana, Bangalore and Kochi regions of the country – PG Micro Systems Pvt. Ltd , Positive Systems and Anugraha Agencies.
The printers come with IDC sensors and new colour control, and are also described as being compact in size with “advanced controls”. Among the new devices is the Bizhub 3300P monochrome laser printer, which can print at speeds of up to 35ppm and boasts a memory capacity of 128MB. It is also able to support A6 to A4 media sizes as well as custom paper sizes.
In terms of colour printers, the Magicolor series of laser printers includes the 1680MF, which has a print speed of 20 ppm for monochrome and five ppm for colour, a memory capacity of 64MB and comes with a CCD Image Sensor, flat bed scanner. It is also able to support A4, A5, B5, letter, legal, envelope C6, envelope DL and customer paper sizes of 92 to 216mm x 184 to 356mm.The 1690MF meanwhile boasts the same credentials but has a larger 128MB memory capacity and a fax machine with a speed of three seconds per page.
Tadahiko Sumitani, Managing Director of Konica Minolta Business Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., said: “These new A4 series range are set to take our printing solutions offering in Indian Market to new dimensions. The new printers from Konica Minolta are available at a price of between Rs. 5,000 ($82/€62)and Rs 40,000 ($659/€495).
