Xerox India launches ConnectKey enabled MFPs

TelecomTiger reports on Xerox’s release of the WorkCentre 7800 and 5800 ConnectKey MFP series, which come with embedded security protection from McAfee as well as Cisco’s TrustSec, which protects data paths to and from the devices.

The printers enable users to print and scan through mobile devices and cloud-based technologies to enhance convenience and productivity in the workplace; and are able to perform tasks such as scan-to-editable format, with additional features including cost control measures such as managing power consumption and users’ permission for printing, single-touch scanning and a simpler user interface.

The ConnectKey features the ability to scan and upload documents to the cloud, send business-critical documents directly into workflow processes and print securely from any mobile device to provide support for “bring your own device” (BYOD) workplaces.
