The range can connect directly to smartphones and tablets without a wireless router.

What Digital Camera reports that the range of ‘Small-in-One’ machines can connect to Wi-Fi devices in the home “without using a wireless router”, following in the footsteps of the OEM’s Epson Connect mobile and cloud printing service.

The machines, which include the XP-412, 413, 415 312, 313, 315, 212 and 215, all use Epson’s Claria Home ink in their inkjet cartridges, and feature a 1200dpi scanner, with the 41 and 31 models featuring print speeds of up to 33ppm, whilst the 21 series have speeds of 26ppm. Each device also has a unique email address, allowing users to “send documents or photos to print from anywhere in the world”.

The website adds that the range is compatible with Epson Connect as well as Epson iPrint and Google Cloud Print, with the printers already available. The XP-41 machines are available for £89.99 ($139.81/€105.20), the 31 devices for £79.99 ($124.27/€93.51) and the 21s for £69.99 ($108.73/€81.82).
