Go Jamaica reported on the distributor’s actions, which saw 40 of the OEM’s MFPs donated to the Ministry of Education for “distribution to 40 schools across the island”. The printers, valued at $150,000 (€112,325), come from PBS Group’s distribution of Xerox machines across the Caribbean and Central America.

In a presentation at the Ministry of Education’s headquarters, PBS Group Director Melanie Subratie reported she was “pleased to be able to make a significant contribution to the education sector at this time”, with technical staff at PBS Jamaica providing technical support to the schools for the printers, which are pre-owned machines.

Paul Reid, Operations Manager at PBS Jamaica, added: “Our company has donated these machines to Ministry of Education ahead of the start of the new school year and we hope they will be used in the most productive way possible.

“The PBS Group of companies, and Xerox, provide many solutions for the field of education, so we will be looking at introducing these to our customers in the future.”
