Aug 27, 2013

WBDCUS Office solutions company honoured with 27th Annual Corporate Support Award from the Women’s Business Development Center (WBDC).

OfficeMax is to be presented with the 27th Annual Corporate Support Award at the WBDC’s annual Entrepreneurial Woman’s Conference in Chicago on 26 September in recognition of its on-going commitment to the advancement of women and minority-owned businesses, reports OPI.

The office solutions company will be represented at the event by Carolynn Brooks, Chief Diversity Officer at the company and President of OfficeMax Charitable Foundation; as well as Anthony Billinger, Director of Supplier Diversity at OfficeMax.

The Recycler has reported earlier this year on the announcement that OfficeMax is to merge with Office Depot, another office solutions company that has also received diversity awards in the past, including being named in the “Top 50 Organisations for Multicultural Business Opportunities” list; as well as being affiliated with organisations such as the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) and the Women’s Business Enterprise Council (WBENC).
