US compatibles supplier estimates total number of pages its various toner brands have produced, as it plans to release over 150 new products this year.
Katun Corporation announced its estimate of one trillion pages, which the company believes have been produced using its Katun, Katun Performance, Katun Business Color and Media Sciences colour and monochrome toners; with CEO Todd Mavis commenting that the estimate is based on pages that have been “produced by customers using Katun colour and monochrome toners since our inception in 1979”.
Mavis added: “This is a significant achievement, and we want to thank all of our customers, employees, and partners for helping us achieve this exciting milestone.”
Katun stated that this is the second time this year that it has announced the achievement of a significant milestone as it follows an announcement in Aprilthat the company’s colour toners have produced over 25 billion colour pages.
Further to the achievement, Katun said it is on track to launch over 150 new products for printers, copiers and MFPs this year, with nearly 100 new products introduced by July for a “wide range” of OEM devices.
New online tools are also being introduced by the company to help dealer and distributor customers to optimise their operational efficiency and increase profitability; for example an online catalogue that shows customers their order history and rebate status as well as identifying new products and cost saving opportunities. This is also available on Katun’s new mobile site, enabling customers to browse and order products via their smartphones and other mobile devices.
