Green BusinessOEM achieves industry best in “Innovation Management”, “Product Stewardship” and “Digital Inclusion”.

Ricoh has announced that it has been included in this year’s Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI), which assesses the corporate sustainability of companies based on their economic, environmental and social developments in a process said to be “among the most rigorous” in terms of the number of questions and depth of information companies are required to answer and provide.

2,500 companies from around the world were reviewed in this year’s DJSI, with 333 of these selected for inclusion in the Index. Ricoh was recognised as a leader in the Computer & Peripherals and Office Electronics industry, and was also added to the DJSI world and DJSI Asia/Pacific Index this year.

Ricoh stated that it “makes social and environmental contributions toward a more sustainable society while aiming to earn greater trust and confidence from customers and stakeholders”. It added that “with globalisation, issues facing society are becoming increasingly complicated and diversified”, forcing businesses to make changes “to make meaningful contributions to society while also creating economic value”; concluding that “Ricoh believes these corporate efforts will drive innovation and create additional value”.
