The ES9541 is said to be the industry’s first five colour LED wide-format device.

Sys-Con reported on the device’s launch at the VISCOM Paris show this week, with the machine said to offer graphics businesses “a lucrative new revenue stream with pioneering print technology and outstanding media flexibility”, and provide “affordable spot colour in white or clear gloss […] at a highly competitive price point”.
The ES9541 builds on OKI’s other white toner printers launched in 2012 (http://www.therecycler.com/posts/oki-europe-launches-first-white-toner-printers/), and features print speeds of 50ppm for A4 colour and monochrome, 45ppm for white and 18ppm for clear prints, with a consumable capacity (CMYK only) of 38,000 pages – which OKI says is “the highest in its class”. The drums have a print capacity of 40,000 pages (CMYK only), whilst paper up to 360gsm (single-sided) or 320gsm (duplex) can be used in the machine, and paper from A6 to SRA3 sizes can be used.
Other features include the ability to print on gloss, film, transfer paper and waterproof media, with separate toners and drums, paper capacity of up to 2,950 sheets, a print resolution of ProQ 1200 dpi, and an optional Fiery XF server from EFI to enable “advanced colour management”.
