The retailer teamed with Bullfrog Power to launch a new printer programme.
OPI reported that Staples Canada has teamed up with 100 percent green energy provider Bullfrog Power to launch a new green printer programme. Within the sales campaign, all inkjet printers that are sold in the 330 Staple stores spread across Canada until 25 October will come bundled with 12 months of free green power from Bullfrog.
Staples Canada also announced its environmental achievements, revealing that it now offers more than 3,400 sustainable products in its stores. Other green achievements include:
– 23,880 kg of batteries diverted from landfills
– 790,000 ink and toner cartridges collected
– 797 tonnes of electronics collected
– 3.083 writing instruments collected
– Energy consumption cut by nine percent
Anthony Santilli, VP Commercial Sales and Marketing at Bullfrog Power said: “The bullfrog-powered printers programme is a novel approach to educating Canadians about the importance of choosing clean, pollution-free energy.”
