Cordelia von Gymnich appointed Vice President responsible for Paperworld and other trade shows, as Ruth Lorenz takes charge of new events development at Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre.
Trade fair organiser Messe Frankfurt, which organises the Remanexpo@Paperworld trade shows for the aftermarket industry, has announced that Cordelia von Gymnich, Vice President of the “Entertainment, Media & Creation” Division, will now also take over the company’s “Consumer Goods II” Division, making her responsible for the Paperworld, Creativeworld, Christmasworld and Hair and Beauty consumer-goods fairs in addition to the Musikmess and Prolight+Sound trade fairs she has managed since 2000, as the two divisions merge.
Von Gymnich, who began her career with Messe Frankfurt in 1989 and has since gathered “extensive” experience in the fair and exhibition sector, takes over the former role of Ruth Lorenz, who will now be responsible for the development of new events at Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre, heading the “New Events” Division at Messe Frankfurt, which incorporates the development of events in addition to innovation management.
Commenting on the management changes, Stephan Kurzawski, Senior Vice President of Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH, said: “This change and the merger of the ‘Entertainment, Media & Creation’ and ‘Consumer Goods II’ Divisions represent a further step in our Messe Frankfurt 2020 strategy.
“Our focus is on [the] strengthening and the innovative development of our portfolio of events. With Cordelia von Gymnich and Ruth Lorenz, we have two extremely experienced fair and exhibition managers who, in their new positions, will continue to promote the company’s objectives with commitment and expertise.”
