eMazzanti Technologies’ eCare MPS website allows users to “evaluate the visible and hidden costs associated with printing”.

The New York City-based company, which calls itself an “IT computer expert” business, is aiming to help businesses lower their TCO (total cost of ownership) in terms of printers by launching the new site, www.ecareprint.com, which will help businesses “manage printers and supplies digitally”. The company’s perspective on MPS, and managing a fleet of printers in a business, is that “adding more users to an existing print device is the most effective technique for reducing the cost of printing”.

The new site offers businesses the chance to “receive alerts before supplies run out on networked printers”, “order all the right printer supplies needed in just one click”, and earn free service rewards on certain Xerox printers for buying cartridges for them. There are also no contracts or commitments with the service, the company added.

Jennifer Mazzanti, President of eMazzanti Technologies, stated: “Many companies do not have a handle on the total cost of ownership (TCO) when it comes to printing expenses. With managed print services, a company may be able to reduce print and supply costs by as much as 30 percent while improving the company’s document production capabilities.

“If purchase price was the only factor in determining TCO, we’d all have $100 (€73) deskjet printers next to our work computers.”
