Oct 16, 2013

HP M880OEM launches new laptops, mobile workstations, terminals and mobile print-enabled printers in Australia.

The Australian reported that among HP’s refreshed commercial printing range are printers capable of direct wireless printing, allowing users to print from their smartphones via wireless connection or using near-field communication (NFC).

The OEM has also launched a “budget” device, the JetDirect 2800w, at a cost of AUS$99 (US$94/€70) that can add wireless direct and NFC touch-to-print capabilities to recent HP printers already released; while the LaserJet Enterprise M800 series are designed to cater for offices looking to digitally store “filing cabinet loads” of documents due to its quality control and collating features. The launch of the device comes as internal research by HP suggests that global enterprise will have digitised one trillion pages of documents by 2015.

Meanwhile a large-format printer, the DesignJet T2500 eMultifunction Printer, has also been launched by HP, designed for use by architects, the construction industry and those working with geographical information systems (GIS), starting at a price of AUS$19,299.50 (US$18,400.14/€13,599.62).
