The distributor will partner with the toner manufacturer to “promote and sell” its polymerised toner across the globe.hubeidinglong

Hubei, which recently acquired aftermarket company Mito, is said to have “worked closely” with Discover Imaging “over the past year”, with Discover having “actively field and laboratory-tested” the toner manufacturer’s polymerised products, with “many converted customers” already onside “who have seen the performance facts for themselves”.

Discover calls Hubei’s toners “exceptional”, and adds that it is in “no doubt that the performance characteristics outperform anything currently available in the marketplace in all respects”. The distributor added that the performance is “all-measurable”, and invites customers to “see for themselves”, with the note that the “biggest difference” customers will see is that there is no toner additive build-up (TAB) on the PCRs used with the toner.

The company went on to note that it believes the toners “will help the aftermarket gain more colour market share by eliminating print defects that get created by TAB”, as well as by “being closer in performance to the original OEM cartridge, which is what discerning colour customers want”. Discover is also looking for “additional sales agents” to become part of its “global programme” working alongside Hubei.

Discover continued: “Discover Imaging also wants its customers to feel comfortable knowing where these products come from; they want to know who the manufacturer is, and it’s only natural they ask. Of course traditional distributors never say where their products come from for fear of the customers going around them.

“We are not a bit concerned because we have a great relationship with Hubei Dinglong and an agreement that has a spirit of co-operation that is unique. Our mission is to help Hubei Dinglong become the biggest supplier of CPT to the aftermarket by having the best quality and the best price.”

The distributor noted that customers will be served “from strategically-located local stock for speed of delivery, compliance to REACH and convenience”, adding that Hubei has invested over $100 million (€73.8 million) in its toner “over the last seven years” to build its state-of-the-art polymerisation plant “and to perfect the CPT toner products” – commenting that this is the “single biggest investment ever made by any company into the aftermarket supplies industry”.
