INX to display new TRIANGLE wide-format inks

INX Digital inksThe manufacturer is intending to present its newest TRIANGLE products at the SGIA Expo in the US this week.

What They Think reported on INX’s plans for the event, where it presented its TRIANGLE-branded wide-format inks last year with great success.

The company noted that last year’s show had seen “the best response to a North American trade show” it had seen in five years, with three new products in the TRIANGLE range to be demonstrated this week, with the event taking place from 23 until 25 October. The three new products, MED, ESC and HLX, are UV LED, eco-solvent and latex inks respectively, with HLX being previewed for visitors to the company’s booth on an HP DesignJet L2550 every day of the show.

The MED UV LED ink is designed for use in Mimaki’s 3042 UV LED flatbed desktop printer, with six colours plus white available. INX notes that the ink boasts “significant benefits” and “offers better adhesion to a wider variety of plastics”, with the ability to “print on difficult surfaces” including golf balls and phone cases – which INX will demonstrate at the event.

The ESC eco-solvent ink is designed for Epson’s SureColor and Stylus GS6000 outdoor printers, providing “sensational colours”, whilst the HXL latex inks are “colour and chemically” compatible with HP’s 789 and 792 wide-format ink series, and offer “sizeable cost savings”, according to INX.

Craig Reid, Vice President of Digital Division at INX International, whose appointment was reported earlier this year, stated: “We listen to our customers and distributors, and they mostly want new alternative ink sets. Our global R&D group has done a fantastic job this past year developing the three new ink sets we are introducing at the SGIA Expo.

“Our TRIANGLE MED ink fits the needs for the growing specialty print market and the growing installed base of the small Mimaki UV flatbed printers. MED enables a much greater compatibility of unique substrates. [In turn] our new TRIANGLE ESC ink is truly an alternative ink that provides not only chemical and colour compatibility, but dramatic improvement in outdoor durability when compared to the Epson ink and especially for the GS6000 model.

“HXL is a highly cost effective latex replacement ink for the huge instalment base of HP units in the marketplace. We plan to begin shipment of this ink late in the first quarter of 2014.”

The company reported earlier this year that it had begun a cartridge recycling programme, and earlier this month promoted Susie Mendelssohn to International Marketing Manager.
