The largest manufacturer of aftermarket imaging systems and components has released over 800 products for use in over 250 Kyocera cartridges.
The launch, which Static states is the “aftermarket’s most comprehensive offering” for remanufacturing Kyocera monochrome and colour cartridges, includes toners, replacement chips, waste bottles, grid cleaners, hopper caps, cartridge seals, tools and packaging, with extended yield chips also available. These chips “report accurate toner low/toner out messaging when used in combination” with Static’s toner, which it notes is a “huge advantage in MPS environments due to the lower cost per printed page”.
In terms of the drums and developer units, Static adds that both have “high page counts, meaning end users can replace up to 70 toner cartridges before replacing the units”. This meant that the aftermarket development process for replacing a Kyocera system “was unique because a single full life test can be up to 300,000 pages long”. Static also stated that its toner is “less abrasive” than other aftermarket products, and would eliminate “premature failures of costly drum and developer units”.
Toner compatibility is “especially important” in Kyocera’s machines because toner from previous cycles mixes with toner from the newest cartridge, and Static’s toner, it stated, “uses a proprietary formula and is compatible with the OEM toner, eliminating backgrounding and other mixing defects seen in other aftermarket offerings”, with “excellent transfer efficiency”, which also “prevents premature overfilling of the waste bins or bottles”.
Erwin Pijpers, Senior Vice President of Sales for Static Control, commented: “This release comes after a year of dedicated research, development and manufacturing to provide the best-to-market solutions for remanufacturers.”
