The Dutch-based remanufacturer has produced ink for a number of the OEM’s latex printers.

The company noted that it has “just completed compliancy and colour matching trials” for both inks and cartridges remanufactured for use in HP’s DesignJet L25500 and L65500 latex wide-format machines.

The L25500 has six cartridges holding 775 millilitres of ink each, with black, cyan, magenta, yellow, light cyan and light magenta available, whilst the L65500 uses three litre versions of each of these. Ink Specialist notes that it has “taken some years to overcome many of the technical problems associated with this ink and getting the formulation correct”, and adds that it is “now working on the other latex printers from HP Scitex”.

The company added that it will also soon have remanufactured cartridges ready for use in HP’s Pro X single-pass printers, which utilise HP’s 970 black and 971 cyan, magenta and yellow cartridges. Ink Specialist is “now in the final stage of completing colour and compliancy tests” for these cartridges, which will be available at the start of 2014.

Another forthcoming release will see remanufactured cartridges for HP’s “newer” T and Z printers, as well as for Epson’s T series, which uses water-based ink pigments; L series, which uses dye sublimation; and S series, which uses solvent inks.
