CIOL reported on the two new machines, due for release in mid-December, which Sharp says are “cost-effective models for small businesses and individual use”. The printers are said to have been “designed to save space” as well as “combine a compact design with the features and value that small businesses and workgroups demand”.

The MX-C250 and MXC300W are capable of print speeds of up to 30ppm, and offer printing, copying, scanning and faxing, with mobile and wireless interconnectivity allowing for up to five wireless devices to be connected at once. Both printers feature energy-saving properties including rapid warm-up times, low power consumption and automatic switch-off, with the compact size of the printers “mak[ing] them easy to fit into tight workspaces”.

Mike Marusic, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Solutions at Sharp America, stated: “These latest models are designed for small businesses or individual departments that require a compact, efficient, and affordable colour document solution.

“We’ve recognised a growing demand for smaller models that are capable of handling more sophisticated tasks and at a greater volume. In return, we’ve expanded our line-up to meet this need and complement our existing line of products. We’re very proud to include so many innovative features in these smaller units and still make them cost-effective for small businesses and individual use.

“Most previous space-saving colour copier/printers were networkable but primarily suited for personal use. These models expand our current market offerings by incorporating a full set of office-friendly features with top performance capabilities.”
