OEM releases Flow Content Management (CM) in Canada, compatible with LaserJet Enterprise flow MFPs and mobile devices.
Itbusiness.ca reported on the release in Canada of HP’s cloud-based storage solution, Flow CM, which became available in the country in October following its initial release elsewhere in November 2012.
Flow CM is a cloud-based content management solution that enables users to store documents from mobile devices, PCs and printers, including scanned documents uploaded directly from HP LaserJet flow MFPs using the printer’s control panel.
The solution is also available as an app for Apple iOS and Android devices, with HP releasing it in a bid to “reach out to small businesses”.
Markus Ditzel, Marketing Manager for cloud-based content management at HP, explained that HP Flow CM works “like a box or DropBox, but more integrated with printing, imaging, and a paper-based world”; adding that HP has updated the solution by providing data mining and enabling users to search the cloud directly from an MFP’s control panel for documents they want to print. Scanning multiple pages and combining multiple scanned images onto a single page has also been made easier using Flow CM.
